Waterjet cutting 2 machines – pump capacities up to 150 kW – max. 4 cutting heads
In waterjet cutting, cutting pressures up to 4,000 bar are used. The typical basic characteristic of waterjet cutting is that heat is not introduced into the material during cutting and the material structure does not change. This method makes it possible to opt for cutting just with pure water or with an abrasive added.
Using abrasive enables very thick and/or very hard materials to be cut.
Waterjet cutting is used for cutting thick materials or materials that are not suitable for laser cutting and above all heat-sensitive materials with which undesired structural changes could occur, such as certain steel types, plastics, glass, etc.
For this, we have the facility to make 2.5D cuts, which makes it possible to avoid hard or harder secondary operations for certain applications.
